You are going to the toilet less than three times per week? If the answer is yes, then you have to know that you suffer from constipation and somehow this problem must be solved. Constipation occurs when there are many residue accumulated in the colon that are stagnating without being eliminated. Instead of running to the pharmacy after the first signs of constipation, you better try some constipation home remedies with quick and safe effects. In order not to be compelled to resort to laxatives, which can become addictive and are also dangerous for the digestive system, try natural methods to combat constipation. Do not forget, however, that some natural remedies can be aggressive with your digestive system.

Fibers are a one of the best constipation home remedies. In order to prevent and treat constipation you need many fibers. Find them in fruits, vegetables, dried plums (that are the most known and efficient remedy) and oils. They contain, in addition to fiber, vegetable fats that have a lot of benefits. Rich in fiber are also flax or sesame seeds, sunflower, almonds or peanuts, so you can add them in salads or yogurt. Wheat bran is effective as well. Whatever you choose to consume, it is important to drink a glass of water. To take effect, the fibers have to absorb a lot of water, otherwise they will form a mass in the colon hardly to remove.

Buckthorn tea, although is a natural remedy, it looks like the laxatives you can buy from pharmacy and it is addictive as well. But buckthorn contains a substance that irritates the walls of the intestines causing spasms that led you to the toilet. However, buckthorn is milder than modern medicine pills and it can be used longer without the risk of addiction. Another similar solution is senna tea, but it is a bit stronger than the buckthorn.
